HOW TO REACH BILASPUR
Air: The nearest airport is at Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, which is 110 km from Bilaspur. Raipur has air connections to Delhi, Bombay, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Bhopal. From Raipur airport one can reach Bilaspur by road in a taxi (the journey takes about three hours), or by taking a train from Raipur railway station (about 25 km from the airport).
Rail: Bilaspur is an important junction on the Bombay – Calcutta rail route, about 400km east of Nagpur. There are direct daily trains to Bilaspur from Mumbai (via Nagpur), Pune (via Nagpur), Howrah (Calcutta), Delhi, Bhopal, Indore and Bhubaneswar. Weekly (two or three times) direct trains connect Bilaspur with Madras, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Trivandrum.
Road: Bilaspur is well connected by road to other towns and cities in Chhattisgarh. However, travel by train wherever possible is faster and more convenient.
HOW TO REACH GANIYARI
Ganiyari is 18km north of Bilaspur town, on the road to Kota and Amarkantak. Regular buses leave Bilaspur bus station on this route during the day. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Alternatively, shared autorickshaws are available at the Bilaspur bus station that ply to Ganiyari – this journey takes about an hour.
The road route to Ganiyari from Bilaspur is via Uslapur, Sakri, Bharni and Chorbhatti. At Ganiyari, the JSS Health Centre campus is just beyond the main village. All buses stop outside the main gate of the campus.
